A man 'behaving erratically' has been arrested after entering a Melbourne CBD building with a trolley containing petrol cans and a cylinder, forcing the area into lockdown.
Victoria Police were called to the building on William Street about 7:40am on Tuesday following"reports of a man in possession of petrol cans and hazardous materials behaving erratically".
"We took the initial response for the public's safety which resulted in a temporary lockdown of the city… just to make sure that we could confirm what these substances were," Acting Senior Sergeant Bonnie Heazlewood said.
