Man bags 10-yrs imprisonment for electricity installations theft

An upper area court in Kasuwan Nama, Jos, Plateau State has sentenced one Ahmed Usman to a consecutive jail term of 10 years for theft of installations and transformer fittings belonging to the Jos Electricity Distribution Company.The convict, who was a first time offender, according to the court, had initially been sentenced to pay a cumulative fine of N50,000 for the two offences or serve two consecutive years in prison for the crime.Justice Lawal Suleiman also awarded a compensation of N1.
