Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo state, has flagged off the construction of the N9.6 billion Akobo – Olorunda/Abaa road project in Ibadan8.3 kilometres road project in Lagelu LGA was contracted to Samchase Nigeria Ltd.

He said 30 percent of the contract cost has been paid to enhance speedy completion of the project within the time-frame of 12 months.Soliciting the co-operation of residents, Makinde said the project would have positive impact on the communities in the LGAMakinde also named the Akobo-Olorunda/Abaa road after Nyesom Wike, former governor of Rivers state.Commenting, Kazeem Gbadamosi, Chairman of Lagelu LGA, said the road dualisation would ease movement of goods and services in the neighborhood.
