The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has urged newly appointed Service Chiefs, Inspector General of Police and the National Security Adviser to put in place
modalities to make the Federal Capital Territory and other states safe for Nigerians and foreigners.
The commander general of Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Dr Usman Jahun who made this known yesterday in a press briefing, congratulated the newly appointed Service Chiefs, Acting Inspector General of Police, DIG Kayode Egbetokun and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. Jahun while describing the appointments as a welcomed development, expressed the hope that the newly appointed top security officers would use their wealth of experience and knowledge in achieving the agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration in protecting lives and property of Nigerians and foreigners in the country.
The commander general while advising the appointees not to betray the confidence reposed in them, stressed the need for them to improve on the achievements of their predecessors. Jahun who expressed concern over the rate of insecurity in the FCT and entire Nigeria also enjoined them to work as a team towards achieving national peace and security.
