The state of South Carolina and Alex Murdaugh's legal team responded on Monday to a juror's ongoing battle to make the records of her dismissal public.Murdaugh, a former South Carolina lawyer, was convicted on two counts of murder last year. The 56-year-old allegedly fatally shot his 52-year-old wife, Maggie, and 22-year-old son, Paul, at their home in 2021.He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole.
On Monday, the Office of the Attorney General submitted a response opposing Crosby's petition to make her dismissal records public. The attorney general's office argued that Crosby's legal counsel signed a consent order, which states that she and her counsel cannot 'further publish or disseminate' the records of her removal.
