President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with Rotary International over the passing of the first and only African President, Jonathan Babatunde Majiyagbe
In a statement on Saturday by Femi Adesina, Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Buhari joined the family members, friends and associates of the renowned lawyer in grief.
“As the first and only African to have led the over 118 years Rotary International as its President in the year 2003-2004 Rotary year, the President believes Majiyagbe lived for the good of the country and humanity, with his humility, kindness, and integrity”.Majiyagbe’s death was confirmed on Saturday, he died at age 89.
