Low turnout of voters in Minna

There was a total disenchantment among the people as at 8 am when accreditation and voting began; only few people were seen casting the vote.

The Nation noted that the electoral officers were at the polling units as early as 7am but the people were not on ground; people started arriving at the polling units by 8 am.Areas visited in Minna include Nkangbe, Tunga market polling unit, Limawa, trade fair center, Abdulsalam garage, Paikoro, Lapai among others.

Those who spoke to our reporter said that they have gotten what they wanted and do not feel the zeal to vote. It was observed that only a third of the people who voted during the Presidential elections came out to vot
