Lockdown: Ekiti reports erring pastors to CAN
The Ekiti government has urged the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the state to caution pastors against further contravening the COVID-19 regulations in the state.
Fapohunda said that he called for the meeting with CAN to discuss additional measures taken jointly by the state government and CAN to enforce the COVID-19 regulations, specifically in relation to churches in the state. Attendance at a funeral, he added, must be limited to only 20 people while there should be no vigil or party.
He appealed to CAN to do more in communicating with its members on the dangers of large gatherings during a pandemic.
