Barring any last minute changes, Bala Abubakar will be announced as new head coach of Nigeria Premier League side, Lobi Stars.
According to reports emanating from Makurdi, chairman of the Pride of Benue, Dominic Iorfa, is said to have concluded plans to appoint Abubakar as the team’s head coach.The young tactician started his coaching career with Kwara United in 2018 before joining Niger Tornadoes during the 2020 season. His appointment is expected to be announced on July 1 ahead of the team’s trip to Lagos for the Naija Super Eight playoffs tournament.Lobi Stars qualified for the tournament after defeating rivals City FC on penalties at the Eket Township Stadium on Friday.
