Lobi Stars manager, Mohammed Babaganaru can’t complain too much after his team battled to a 1-1 draw against Rangers on Sunday.

The Pride of Benue were on course to secure all three points in the keenly contested encounter after substitute Elijah Ani gave them the lead. The Makurdi club were, however, pegged back late in the game when former Nigeria Premier Football League top scorer, Godwin Obaje equalised for the hosts.“The game was intense but getting a draw against Rangers is good for us,” the coach told the club’s media.

“We had the plan to stop Rangers and it worked out well for us. We will now shift attention to the game, hopefully, we will get a win.” The positive result secured in Awka has taken Lobi Stars back to the top of the group B league table with 20 points from 12 games.
