The PEPC has held that as against the argument by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP, President Muhammadu Buhari was eminently qualified to contest the last presidential election.

The PEPC has upheld argument by President Muhammadu Buhari that it lacked the jurisdiction to entertain allegation of corrupt practices and voters’ inducement raised against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP. In its second ruling on Wednesday, the PEPC upheld argument by INEC that it was wrong by the petitioners to raised criminal allegations of intimidation, harassment, corruption, etc against security personnel and some named persons, but who are not parties to the petition.

The tribunal held that INEC’s allegation is unfounded and that Uzoukwu was indeed called to the Nigerian Bar.The Presidential Election Petition Court has refused a motion by INEC for the striking out of the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP for excluding Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a party to the petition.
