French topflight organiser Ligue 1 has congratulated Moses Simon after the Super Eagles qualified for next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
Simon was in action for the Eagles who edged Sierra Leone 3-2 in Group A match-day five games in Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday.Reacting to the Eagles qualification, Ligue 1 posted a picture of Simon on Twitter stating:“ “
Victor Osimhen bagged a first half brace while Kelechi Iheanacho netted the winner in stoppage time to seal the win. The Eagles, on 12 points, go top in Group A and will take on São Tomé and Principe in an inconsequential fixture in September.
