The All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State, on Wednesday, announced a slight adjustment in the schedule of its primary for all chairmanship and councillorship aspirants who have been cleared to participate in the exercise by the screening committees set up by the party.

APC, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, in Ibadan, the state capital, said the primary earlier scheduled for this Thursday, August 24, will now be held, on Friday, August 25, and Monday, August 28, “as occasion demanded that we leave no stone unturned to ensure free, fair and credible exercise.”
Sadare said the primary became necessary as a result of multiple expressions of interest on the part of party faithful who desire to fly the flag of APC in the local government council election which has been slated for April next year by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission. He added, “The schedule of the party primary will now be split into two and we have picked this Friday to conduct the exercise in all the Wards and LGAs in both Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial districts while the turn of the 99 Wards and nine local government councils in Oyo South will be Monday next week.
