Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has declared that his nomination as the “2020 LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year” award will further energise him
governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has declared that his nomination as the “2020 LEADERSHIP Governor of the Year” award will further energise him to continue to work for the people of the state, until the expiration of his tenure in 2023.
The governor said: “We believe that what you have done will spur us the more and not for us to relax. I believe that we were elected not just to carry out projects within, some people said first tenure, some people said second tenure, but that is not current.“In fact, what this means is that you have to redouble your efforts. So, we believe that we have to work for the people until our tenure expires on May 29, 2023.
While extolling the founding chairman of LEADERSHIP Media Group, late Sam Nda-Isaiah, for standing by the truth when he was alive, Wike commiserated with the entire management and staff of the organisation over Nda-Isaiah’s demise. The governor stated that members of the National Assembly knew the consequences of their action against the people.
