One Abdullahi Abubakar, said to be a legal practitioner, has allegedly killed a mobile policeman in Bauchi State. The spokesman for Operation Safe Haven military taskforce, Captain Oya James, stated this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to him, troops had on Saturday arrested one “Mr Abdullahi Abubakar Lawyer” at Rimin Zayam village in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State for the alleged “killing of own Mobile Police personnel”. The incident happened on November 2, 2023 at Kuba village in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state. James stated that the suspect admitted to being involved in kidnapping, among other sundry crimes with other gang members.
Based on his confessional statement, troops had on Sunday raided Kambal and Hurti villages in Bokkos LG. The raid operation, DAILY POST gathered, resulted in the arrest of Yakubu Saidu and Nasiru Mohammed, who were also connected to the crime. 233 rounds of 7.62mm special, one Techno phone, one Itel phone and one motorcycle were recovered during the raid.
