Lawan tasks media on Next Level agenda
The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, has charged the media in Nigeria to brace up for a watchdog role in the Next Level agenda of the governing All Progressive Congress .
The President of the Senate, who was represented by his deputy, Ovie Omo-Agege, also charged the legislature at the federal and state levels to consistently work hard and change the lives of the people for the better “Under the leadership of the ninth assembly, we are going to treat areas of concern such as insecurity, poverty and other issues”.
Abdullahi said, “For the parliament, whether you do well or not, in four years, you must be held to account. The media professionals are not evaluated except for themselves and journalists must rise up and get a framework that will help their future.
