Lawan spoke on Saturday during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign in Warri, Delta. Speaking during the rally, the senate president said his deputy has performed “remarkably well” in the senate and brought developmental projects to the state.“Our son has gone to Abuja as you wanted him to and he has done so remarkably well. He is someone who can work with anyone, he has worked with us,” the senate president said.
“Today, our rally here is to tell Deltans what we know about our brother, colleague and what he had done in Abuja.”Speaking further, Lawan claimed that the APC-led federal government has provided more support to states in form of budget support and bailouts than the Peoples Democratic Party -led government.
