The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, Mrs Funke Adepoju, has been nominated as a member of the eight-man task force of the International Water Association.

According to a statement issued by the Lagos State Government, Adepoju’s inclusion was in recognition of LASWARCO’s laudable achievement under her leadership.

The task force is aimed at reshaping the global urban sanitation agenda by providing a stronger direction on IWA’s priorities, activities and performance. It is also expected to prioritise governance and regulation, inclusion, accessibility, equity and safety in the water sector, using multiple technology-driven solutions for environmental, and public health concernsWith Adepoju’s inclusion, Lagos stands to benefit immensely from the project since the foundation has been laid in terms of regulation by LASWARCO, the statement said.
