The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has collaborated with the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) to reduce air and environmental pollution by encouraging the use of cooking gas by the populace while promoting the recycling of plastic bottles waste in the state.
The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, disclosed this during a programme held at Ikorodu Town hall yesterday to promote the initiative.
According to the LASEPA boss, “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is particularly concerned about the health and environment of Lagosians and in protecting these we have to stop burning fossil fuels. To stop burning fossil fuels, what do we cook with? We cook with gas. The truth is we have done research and we have seen that a lot of people do not even understand the benefits in terms of cost, in terms of health, in terms of efficiency of cooking with gas.
