Nigeria international, Samuel Chukwueze netted twice to help his Villarreal side defeat champions Real Madrid 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.
Villarreal defender, Pau Torres deflected the ball into his own net to give the home side the lead in the 16th minute of the week 28th game.
Chukwueze equalised for the visiting side in the 39th minute following a brilliant run into the box before shooting the ball past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to make 1-1. Brazilian, Vinicius Junior made it 2-1 three minutes into the second half when he raced into the box and buried the ball at the back of the net.
Villarreal had to wait till the 70th minute when Spanish striker, Jose Luis Morales drew level for the yellow submarine. The Super Eagles forward then scored the winning goal for Villarreal in the 80th minute when Alex Baena found him with a pass and the Nigerian forward buried the ball into the top left corner.
