The Lagos State Government has vowed to prosecute the driver and owner of the truck, whose container crushed two persons to death in the state.
had reported that Chidinma Ajoku, and her colleague, Chima Nnaekpe, 29, who both worked in the Commercial Department of the Hajj & Cargo Terminal, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, died on July 26, 2020, when a truck with number plate SGM 715 XA, loaded with a 20-foot container fell on the commercial bus they were travelling in.bus stopped briefly at the Ilasamaja bus stop to discharge some passengers when the tragedy struck.
However, during a visit to the families of the deceased, the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, assured them of justice. He said, “We deeply sympathise with you on your great loss; we pray the Almighty God to grant you strength and console you at this trying time. Be assured that my team and I will be leading the prosecution of this case before the court and ensure that justice is served appropriately.
