Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, has implored educators to equip students with tools and skills to navigate the complex world and succeed in an ever-changing society.
“As we all know, our classrooms have become vibrant hubs of knowledge and innovation, where students are not merely passive recipients of information, but active participants in their own learning journeys.” Alli-Balogun stated that the capacity-building programme has been designed with the above goals in mind, urging all the 1200 teachers to approach the programme with an open mind and a commitment to professional growth.
Peregrino stated that the education sector in Lagos is happy about the collaboration, as it would birth a lot of development and make learning and teaching better. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has declared that her ministry is primed to ‘go all out to deliver’ on the administration’s targets of job creation, facilitating food security, eradicating poverty and providing good governance, among other deliverables.
