In a statement from the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Mukaila Sanusi, he said the state was alarmed at the rate of unapproved and illegal development going on in Ikoyi and Banana Island. It added that recently, in one day alone, 22 houses were sealed for building permit and conformity issues. He said, “The rate at which developers in these elite areas flout our planning laws by going ahead to errect buildings without the necessary permits is disturbing.
