Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Lagos State, yesterday, staged a ‘Solidarity Walk’ in support of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, on February 25 and March 11 general elections.
The pensioners, who started the walk at the NUP Secretariat, Alausa, and ended it at the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association Headquarters in Alausa, expressed appreciation for the vision Tinubu brought to Lagos, and want it replicated at the national level.
“I am really thankful that you were able to leave your homes early in the morning and come out here together to support our party, APC, for the presidency and Lagos governorship elections. I am so grateful because this is very special, especially when our elders come out to support our candidates. I know there are special blessings attached to that kind of support.
