Lagos governorship election: PDP reacts to Sanwo-Olu’s victory, speaks on challenging result
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the Lagos State governorship election held on Saturday in the state.He polled 739,445 votes, while Agbaje got 206,141 votes.
Reacting, the Lagos State chapter of the PDP felicitated with the Governor-elect in the spirit of sportsmanship. The PDP, in a terse statement by its spokesman, Taofiq Gani, however, said “if, for any reason, it has reasons to challenge the result announced it shall not hesitate to so do. “Sanwo-Olu should eschew politics of retaliation and seclusion even as he warned against any act of vendetta against the outgoing Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.”
