The Action Democratic Party (ADP) on Monday described the explosion that rocked Lagos on Sunday as a national tragedy which could have been avoided and called for an extensive probe. festacexplosion abuleadoexplosion

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Adelaja Adeoye said in a statement, stated that the party was saddened by the the loud explosion that shocked Lagos State and it’s environs resulting in loss of several lives and several properties worth several millions of Naira lost.

The ADP said “It is important that a thorough investigation is carried out, as National Emergency Management Agency , said that the disaster was not due to pipeline explosion in their earlier report, even though, NNPC gave a contrary report to what happened.

“The party said it deeply sympathize with all victims, especially the residents of Abule-Ado, students of Bethlehem girls and St Joseph School, Abule Ado, who are currently at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Navy Town receiving medical care.
