According to the judge, offensive weapons were used by the convict to carry out the robbery, adding that there is no principle of law establishing that the prosecution should tender weapons used to execute an attack. Justice Sika Aprioku of Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, yesterday, convicted and sentenced five people to death by hanging or injecting them with lethal substances until they are confirmed dead for murder and kidnapping.

The Eko Electricity Distribution Plc yesterday, said contrary to recent negative media reports regarding the company and some members of its staff relating to ‘ghost workers’, it has been vindicated by investigation.
