A large mouth tumour has deprived Adesua Ade, a native of Akoko Edo in Edo State, of seamless communication with people around her and brought her education to an abrupt end.
She was diagnosed with ‘teratomas tumour growth’ with “a large pendicular in her teeth that leads to the swelling in her mouth.” The tumour, which began to grow about five years ago, has turned into a heavy burden 25-year-old Adesua wishes daily to get rid of. Her hope, however, faints by the day as result of her parents inability to raise N700,000 reportedly for a surgery.that Adesua dropped out of school at Senior Secondary School 1 when she could no longer bear stigmatisation among friends.
She said, “My sister is suffering from a mouth tumour. We have taken her to different hospitals but our parents cannot afford the bill requested for her treatment. They are farmers. They were asked to pay N700,000 for a surgery.
