The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) expressed their disappointment over the lack of commitment from authorities in delivering justice for the brutal murder of fashion designer Bamise Ayanwola, who went missing two years ago. The bus driver, Andrew Ominikoron, was arrested in connection to the incident but remains unconvicted. Police officer Sunday Ihende testified that Ominikoron sexually assaulted and caused the death of the victim.
The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights ( CDHR ), yesterday, lamented that two years after the brutal murder of 22-year-old fashion designer , Bamise Ayanwola, authorities have remained uncommitted to giving justice to the deceased. Ayanwola got missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on Saturday, February 26, 2022, after boarding a BRT bus with number plate 240257 going to Oshodi at about 7:00 p.m. at Chevron Bus Stop.
The bus driver, Andrew Ominikoron was arrested in connection to the incident but years later, he is yet to be convicted. A police officer, Sunday Ihende, had insisted that Ominikoron sexually assaulted the victim and caused her death. He testified during cross-examination before a Lagos High Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in 2022
