Stakeholders of the Labour Party, LP, in the 17 council areas of Abia state, have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Alex Otti.
The stakeholders who spoke during an enlarged meeting which was also attended by the Governor, commended his performance in the 11 months he has held office as governor.
While moving a motion for the vote of confidence, a member representing Umuahia/ Ikwuano federal constituency,Hon. Obi Aguocha, said the Governor, had within 11 months of his assumption of office, made the Labour party proud as he had surpassed all expectations. The motion was unanimously approved when put to vote by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa.
Otti, who said he was surprised at the vote of confidence by the party leadership and other stakeholders, expressed gratitude to God that people had taken note of the “modest” achievements recorded by his administration in less than one year in office.
