Liberal Senator SenPaterson says “you can bet your bottom dollar” the Labor Party will “roll over” for the unions if they are elected.

Liberal Senator James Paterson says “you can bet your bottom dollar” the Labor Party will “roll over” for the unions if they are elected.

It comes as the unions push for the Labor Party to overhaul industrial relations bargaining laws if they win the 2022 federal election. “The act that they’re complaining about by the way is the Fair Work Act – virtually untouched in our eight years in office, virtually intact from the Gillard era that the unions wrote then,” Mr Paterson told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“So what they’re trying to do is make the most pro-union workplace relations system we’ve had in 30 years even more pro-union, even more anti-enterprise, even more anti-growth. “You can bet your bottom dollar that Labor will roll over if required, as required, if they win the election.”
