Barely few hours after Kwara State government announced the first COVID-19 death in the state along with four new cases, additional seven more fresh cases were recorded on Saturday night.
A report by the state COVID-19 response team indicated that as at 10 pm on Saturday, the state had 31 total confirmed cases.However, 26 tests results were still being awaited according to the response team, while the number of those who tested negative stands at 644.

Kwara records first COVID-19 deathThe Kwara State Government, on Saturday, recorded the death of a COVID-19 case. This was confirmed in a statement signed by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor\/Spokesman, Kwara State Technical Committee on COVID-19.
