The people of Kwara State have been thrown into mourning mood following the death of two leading lights of the State – Justice Sikiru Oyinloye and Dr Ajeigbe Issa.
While Oyinloye, an High Court Judge died on Sunday after a brief illness, Issa, a lecturer at the Kwara State University , Malete, died in his sleep on Monday. In a condolence message, Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, described as painful and a great loss the death Justice Oyinloye. “We join the Kwara State Judiciary and the Nigerian bar to mourn the unfortunate death of Hon. Justice Oyinloye, a very upright and brilliant judge. We are consoled by the fact that he left a legacy of uprightness, hard work, and brilliance for which he was known within and outside of the court system,” the Governor said in a statement on Sunday night, hours after the incident.
