Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has criticized a recent police 'terror alert' issued ahead of the Maulud celebration, accusing the Federal Government of meddling in Kano's internal matters. Kwankwaso expressed concern that the alert, deemed reckless and unprofessional by him, jeopardized the event's success and put attendees at risk. He urged the police to maintain professionalism and avoid partisan actions, while reiterating his call for the Federal Government to respect Kano State's jurisdiction.
Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party , Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has warned the Federal Government to steer clear of Kano State 's internal matters.
He also extended felicitations to His Royal Highness, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for organizing the event. He accused the police of acting as an accomplice in what he called the Federal Government’s “habitual dabbling” into Kano State’s affairs.
