Ahead of the November 16 Kogi State governorship election, stakeholders from across the 11 wards of the Kogi/Koton Karfi local government
, Wednesday declared their support for the aspiration of Admiral Usman Jubril of the ruling All Progressives Congress .
They said that without prejudice to the mode of primary adopted by the national leadership of the party, Jubril’s remains the ‘man to beat’, and the popular choice of Kogi people. According to them: “If as a chief of staff, he can bring navy to Banda in Lokoja; he can bring navy to Idah; bring navy to Okene; and a befitting navy secondary school to Okura, in Kogi East; initiate women and youth empowerment programmes, all within eighteen months, how much more will such an individual deliver, on becoming governor of Kogi State. And, this is why we have decided on going the whole way to support him.
