Kogi Assembly Passes Bill To Establish 3rd State-owned Varsity

The Kogi House of Assembly, on Thursday, passed a Bill into law, to establish a third state-owned University in Kabba/Bunu local government area of the State.

“Education is a veritable tool which brings about development which explains the reason for the establishment of the third state university,“ he affirmed.

Similarly, the Bill seeking to repeal the Prohibition of Kidnapping and other related Offences Act 2015 and re-enact the Kogi State Prohibition of Kidnapping and other related matters Bill 2023 has also been passed into law. The said Bill has made way for the state government to initiate new ways to curb kidnapping, which has been a source of concern to the indigenes in the state.

Besides, the screening and confirmation of Mr Abraham Omora as secretary to Ibaji local government council came the same day as part of the House activities.
