Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that kings usually bow down for him indoors whenever he meets them.
The former president made these declarations on Friday, during the commissioning of the Iseyin campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso. Our correspondent, however, reports that one of the memorable periods of the event was when Obasanjo compelled all the traditional rulers who were at the event to stand up and sit down again as a sign of respect.
Obasanjo, while speaking, said that two things are given much respect in Yoruba land; age and position. He then told the traditional rulers that the governor’s position is superior to that of any king.
