Two members of Osun Baptist Conference held while delivering ransom to abductors in a community in Kogi State have regained freedom.
Giving further insight into how the victims were released, a close family source, who preferred anonymity, said the abductors freed them in a community in Kogi State on Friday, after payment of N4m.
Meanwhile, the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company said two vandals who specialised in stealing electrical installations within communities in Anambra and Abia states have been arrested. The Head, Corporate Communications of EEDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh, who confirmed the development in Enugu on Friday, to the News Agency of Nigeria, commended the efforts of various vigilance groups in communities within the South-East.
Ezeh added that there were indications that efforts by the EEDC in curbing activities of vandals across its network through the effective engagement of its stakeholders were yielding the desired results. According to him, the call for residents to ensure that activities of vandals are reduced drastically is yielding positive results, as it is evident that most communities are now more vigilant in protecting the electrical installations within their domain. All rights reserved.
