Warriors Winning Championship May Have Contributed As Tipping Point For Kevin Durant Seeking Trade From Nets
Sean Marks will reportedly work with Durant and his business partner, Rich Kleiman, on finding a trade. Durant requested the trade directly to Joe Tsai. The Nets have received trade inquiries from more than half the league during the first hour following reports of Durant's trade request.
Durant and Irving had no contact with the Nets after Irving opted into his deal on Monday, which created a sense of inevitability Durant would ask for a trade. Wojnarowski also reported late on Thursday evening on Sports Center that the Golden State Warriors winning the title accelerated his decision.
