Lawmakers said the vice-president amassed assets worth 5.2 billion shillings since the last election, with an annual salary of $93,000.Gachagua said his wealth is through legitimate business deals and an inheritance from his late brother.After the protests, President William Ruto sacked most of his cabinet and brought in members of the main opposition.The vice-president prayed the high court to halt the proceedings but his request was declined.
