Kenya, Ghana, and Gabon, on Friday reported their first confirmed cases of infection with the new coronavirus.
The Gabonese Health Ministry said that the infected person in Gabon was a national who had returned from a trip to Bordeaux, France on March 8. According to the Ghanaian Health Ministry, both infected individuals returned from Norway and Turkey. “I wish to assure all Ghanaians that the Government of Ghana together with all health partners will continue to work assiduously to ensure the situation is contained,” he said.
