Resources Minister Keith Pitt has taken aim at the Greens leader for wanting to 'terminate' 140 resources projects despite the resources sector creating 'some $35 billion in royalties and taxes in the last 12 months'.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sky News Australia host Peta Credlin, Mr Pitt said several sources of enormous revenue would be shut down under a Labor Greens coalition.“We think there’s probably close to 140 projects that are underway that would basically be terminated under a Labor Greens alliance.”

Mr Pitt specifically took aim at the Greens leader's plans to stop coal and gas projects until the COP27 climate summit saying there were no appropriate economic means to fill the gap which would be left behind. “Yet we’ve got people like Mr Bandt and the Greens in a Labor Alliance that want to shut them down and if you’re out in the regions in a place like Moranbah that relies on coal… how do we keep the lights on?”
