Katsina United head coach, Usman Abdallah, has reiterated the team’s desire to return to the Nigeria Premier League.Abdallah’s side could, however, immediately return to the top-flight after securing a place in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs.
Katsina United showed their readiness for the competition following a 1-0 win against Kano Pillars in their Naija Super 8 playoffs clash in Eket on Sunday. “Winning against Kano Pillars in the Naija Zonal Super Eight playoff isn’t part of the goal of the season,” Abdallah said in a post-match interview in Eket.“The victory boost our confidence and also prepare the team for the Super Eight which is the target as the most important thing is to produce a good team for the playoffs.”
