Residents of Katsina State have taken to various social media platforms to call for prayers over rising insecurity in the state.

Katsina has seen increased attacks by armed bandits, who kidnap and maim citizens while torching entire villages. More recently, Batsari and Safana local government areas became the hardest hit with attacks that are frequent and deadly without government intervention. Twitter user, Abdul Gidado @AbdulGidadoo, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfil his campaign promise in 2015 and end insecurity in the state.this is u 2015 and it’s still happening in ur state. We’re calling you out loud to act/intervene and bring end to this insurgency.
