Three teenagers, who kidnapped a six-year-old girl in Kano and demanded two million naira as ransom for her release, have been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command.
Further investigation reportedly led to the arrest of the other two suspects.
Isah explained, “On the 10, January 2023, at about 5 pm, based on credible intelligence the command succeeded in busting and arresting of one Abdulrazak Ibrahim alias ‘Popular’ , 19, of Bachirawa quarters, Kano State; Aliyu Salisu alias ‘Chilo’,19, of Sabuwa Unguwa quarters, Katsina State and Mohammed Ibrahim alias ‘Zalamo’, 19, of Gidan Dawa quarters, Katsina State.
“Nemesis caught up with the syndicate when they kidnapped their victim one Fatima Abubakar, ‘F’, 6, of Bachirawa quarters, Kano State on January 6, 2023, at about 11 am whisked her to Katsina State and demanded for two million naira ransom. “Upon receipt of the information, immediately detectives swung into action. The suspect Aliyu Salisu alias ‘Chilo’ was caught red handed in the process of receiving the ransom. During the cause of investigation, the other members of the syndicate were also arrested and the victim rescued unhurt.All rights reserved.
