Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has actively sought foreign investors and development finance institutions to contribute to agricultural, energy, and technology initiatives within the state. This strategic move followed fruitful discussions at the 2025 Oxford Africa Business Forum held at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Governor Radda, who served as the guest speaker, delivered a compelling address before a distinguished audience of industry leaders and economic stakeholders. The theme of his address was “Africa’s Growth Trajectory: Globalization vs. Domestic Collaboration.” Radda highlighted the significant policy reforms implemented in Katsina to create a conducive environment for business growth and development. He emphasized the state’s commitment to streamlining regulations, refining institutions, and expediting the ease of doing business. Furthermore, the Governor shed light on Katsina's innovative climate resilience initiatives, particularly their Climate Smart Agriculture Policy and pilot program. These initiatives aim to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change and climate-induced conflicts on agriculture and food security. During a panel discussion titled “Strength in Unity: The Power of African Domestic Collaboration,” Governor Radda shared his insightful perspective on leveraging the continent’s youthful population and technological advancements to unlock Africa’s full potential in the 21st century. He underscored the importance of pan-African solutions and emphasized the need for collaboration among nations to address the multifaceted challenges facing the continent. The forum served as a platform for constructive dialogues, leading to discussions with investors and Development Finance Institutions regarding funding opportunities for agricultural, energy, and technology projects in Katsina State. Additionally, the delegation explored possibilities for collaborations with the Said Business School for executive programs and the Blavatnik School of Government for public and civil service training to enhance service delivery for citizens in Katsina State.
