Fifty-one coronavirus patients have been discharged so far in Katsina after recovering from the virus.Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health,Dr Kabiru Mustapha,stated this while addressing newsmen with members of the COVID-19 response team.According to him: “As it is, the COVID 19 Committee hold their meetings through the zones and there is no point to connect everybody at the moment. We really are at very serious position, there are alot of cases now to handle.
He further admitted that 300 samples are yet to be returned, affecting the committee’s calculations and challenges as new figures keep streaming in with more samples being sent. He said: ”We have taken over 1800 samples so far. The isolation centre will be hopefuly commissioned today, and once that is done, we will look at structures of things to be there before start using it.
