The Kano government has ordered the closure of all accounts of its ministries, departments, and agencies “to prevent financial misconduct and ensure transparency”.

The governor said that the various accounts of MDAs will be merge into a single treasury account, adding that the decision was necessitated by “financial irregularities” observed by his administration.
