Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has submitted a 2024 Supplementary Budget of N99, 221,503,569.90, to the State House of Assembly to cover wages and other projects introduced by his government.

Reading the letter of the Supplementary Budget on the floor of the house during plenary, the speaker, Ismail Falgore, assured the government of a speedy passage of the request. Falgore said the Governor is seeking their approval pursuant to sections 122 of the 1999 constitution to accelerate and execute priority projects aimed at improving the well-being of the citizens in the state. He noted that from the Supplementary budget, N33,761,174,555.

He said that ' if you merged the original budget with the supplementary budget, passed into law, it will bring the 2024 budget to the tune of N536, 559, 816, 357.
