Yan Gurasa, representing the Dala state constituency, moved the motion under a matter of urgent public importance interest, seeking the approval of the lawmakers for urgent amendment. The Emirate Council Law which was amended by former Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2019 introduced the establishment of five new emirs in the state.
